Resort Description

Encompassing 12 acres on St. Pete Beach island in the Gulf of Mexico, this relaxing, AAA 3-Diamond resort combines an alluring Mediterranean flair with warm, personal service.

Spanning 12 tropical acres surrounded by the tranquil Gulf of Mexico, this St. Pete Beach island resort provides a relaxing experience with a sun-drenched Mediterranean flair. It affords visitors to the heart of the Tampa Bay area a host of recreational opportunities and friendly professional service. The diverse cultural events and nightlife of downtown St. Petersburg -- including world-class shopping, golfing, attractions, museums, deep-sea fishing, festivals, and concerts -- are within an easy 10-mile drive.

The resort's 380 guest rooms and suites feature beachfront units that have either a balcony with a view or a patio with beach access, as well as parlor rooms styled as spacious efficiencies with fully equipped kitchens. All suites have a separate bedroom and living room, and some have balconies with a beach view. Executive suites are very nicely appointed with a bedroom and living room, plus a balcony facing either the Gulf or Boca Ciega Bay.

Afternoon and late-night cocktails are a daily ritual at Rumrunners and Harry's Beach Bar. Steaks, chicken, ribs, and seafood are prepared on a crackling oak fir at Durango's Steakhouse. The chef at the tropical-themed Mangrove Grille presents classic Florida cuisine with Caribbean Creole essence.

Recreation and relaxation are easy to come by. Sink into one of the 2 whirlpools with a friend and a margarita, start up a game of water polo in one of the 3 pools, then take a snooze in a hammock or a beach cabana. And that's just some of what you can do. There's also a fitness center, paddleboats, 2 beach bars, and a kids’ playground. For the more active types, there's beach volleyball, and the really adventurous will want to go parasailing.

The Sirata Beach Resort is both convenient to the best of St. Petersburg, and secluded enough to shelter you amid the serenity of its palms, dunes, and white sandy beach.
