Accommodations: Highlights of the guest rooms include French doors that lead onto private balconies, and oversized tubs in the marble-trimmed baths. Because of the U-shaped design, the majority of rooms have ocean views. NOTE: While most Island View rooms have nice views of the gardens, palms, and tropical flowers, some overlook the street. Amenities include Westin's signature Heavenly Bed, air-conditioning, TVs, phones, mini-bars, coffeemakers, in-room safes, and irons/ironing boards. Baths have massaging showerheads, aromatherapy bath amenities, and plush Egyptian cotton towels. Cribs, rollaway beds, and connecting rooms are all available. Suites have added living space.
Dining & Entertainment: You can dine by candlelight at Casa Havana, which serves Cuban, Caribbean, and American dishes, or choose between indoor and outdoor seating at the more casual Ferdinand's, which serves traditional Caribbean cooking; both are open for dinner. NOTE: Casa Havana will be closed for renovations from August 15 – October 15 2008. The beachside Tortugas, the poolside/swim-up bar, and the Courtyard Cafe serve light fare and sandwiches from the late morning until early evening. Drinks are available at all, and the lobby bar stays open until midnight. Want to explore the nightlife in Grand Cayman? There are several worthwhile clubs along Seven Mile Beach. The Planet Nightclub has the best line-up of local bands, and Sharkey's, which has weekend happy hours and Wednesday night "Sharkaoke."
Recreation: There's plenty to keep you entertained, and it’s a great resort for family vacations. The Hibiscus Spa is the largest, best spa on Grand Cayman, with steam rooms, saunas and a dozen treatment rooms. The Westin Kids Club engages travelers ages 2-12 with games, swimming, and activities, all safe and supervised. There's a fitness center, and running/walking routes designed by Runner's World. A golf course is nearby. The dive shop provides snorkeling gear, scuba lessons, and diving trips. - Casa Havana - This award winning, formal restaurant serves Nuevo Cuban/Caribbean Cuisine for dinner only from 6pm-10:30pm. Evening formal wear is required.
- Ferdinand`s - Breakfast from 7am-11am; lunch from 11:30am-2:30pm; dinner 5:30pm-10:30pm. Breakfast is both a traditional á la carte, as well as a lavish Caribbean breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner are Caribbean and South American dishes.Indoor and outdoor seating.
